XMRV were formed in 2008, with the idea of creating a more primal, improv-driven style of heavy music. A melting pot of nationalities, XMRV jammed tracks ranging from bleak melancholy to aggressive HC styles, developing a sound that unites thrash, grunge, noise, punk or jazz. With a devastating live presence, they have performed across all of Scotland, and toured Europe three times.
